Noma is a family name.

My name is Martin Lopez. I am 44 years old and a proud father of two children, a son and a daughter. My journey in construction began around 1998 or 1999. I started as a framer and carpenter, building houses and learning the construction business through hands-on experience. I spent approximately 17 years working primarily on new home construction, which allowed me to develop strong carpentry skills and a deep understanding of how homes are built.

Over time, I had the opportunity to begin working on different types of projects, including decks, porches, pergolas, and other outdoor living spaces. I discovered that I truly enjoyed this type of work, especially seeing how a well-built outdoor space can completely transform a home and give a family a place to spend time together. Today, these projects have become the main focus of Noma Construction.

Where the name comes from

The name “Noma” has a very personal meaning because it is made from the initials of my family: “N” for Nicole, “O” for Olivia, “M” for Martin, which is me, and “A” for Alexander, my son. I chose this name because my family is one of the most important parts of my life, and I wanted the company’s name to represent all of us. Noma Construction is more than a business—it is a family name and something I hope to continue building for the future.

My goal is to provide dependable, quality craftsmanship and create something that homeowners and their families can enjoy for many years.
